Default Winter tires

Hey guys and gals,

It will be my first winter with my F Pace Prestige, and I'm looking for a 255/55/19 tire and rim combo. The dealership quoted me $5600 which is something I would never consider! (in Canada that is) My question...

1) Do F Pace's have their own sensors, or are they a generic "jaguar" model? Would members here find it ok to buy knock-off ones for my winter tire set?

2) I found a perfect complete set, but it's a 255/60/19 size, and built for a Land Rover sport. Would these fit, or too big?

Thanks for any advice one could give!

If the overall size of the wheel and tire combination is increased, the tire tread and sides can rub or bump parts of the car including suspension components or fenders.
Tire "fitment," as it's called, is rather tricky. The wheel might work just fine when the vehicle is stopped or even when it's driving and turning on a smooth, level road with a light load. When the vehicle is loaded with people or baggage, however, the tires can bump into parts of the car.
Not only can that damage the tires, it can also cause unpredictable steering difficulty. Plus, it's just plain irritating. The sensors could be affected. I'd check with your service dept. before going forward.

You can refer to my thread as the link below:

wheel spec. should also be checked rather than tire size.
