Default Is the V6 enough?

My BMW lease is ending soon, and I'm thinking about financing a 2015 F-Type. Currently debating between the V6 or V6S. Does anyone have any experience with the base V6? I've seen lots of reviews about the V6S and V8. Was just wondering if it was worth the extra $.

Found a few reviews, and there's a pretty decent one about the V6 in Canada:

Any thoughts?

See this thread.

And also the order guide here.

The most substantive difference between the two is the suspension, but the order guide shows the differences in detail.

We bought the base. It has plenty of power. I traded in a C6 vert for the Jag and have not looked back. I understand the V6 S has a higher range of power BUT in the higher RPM levels only. Frankly, I would rarely need that. I will not race the car.

We did get the active exhaust (which I would recommend).

It has exactly the same body. In fact, the V8 S does also.

There are differences of course but none that made $10,000 + sense to me.

Also, we could only find one Sapphire Blue care in southern cal of ANY model

You will love whatever you get!

Yes that's right. I've attached the dyno curves.
There are multiple aftermarket companies working on supercharger pulley and ECU upgrades...these may yield a much better torque curve than the V6 -> V6-S difference, although obviously at the cost of likely voiding your warranty

Go for the V8. You wouldn't look back. It'll make you feel like you're 17 again. So much fun to drive and it'll put a big smile on your face.
