Default $2000 a month? Excuse me?

So I call a dealership today regarding a F-Type R that I saw...

108k MSRP. Selling price 92k. NEW.

39 months/10k miles. Zero down... $2010 a month for a lease.

Am I missing something here?

I have a feeling that this deal wasn't going through Jaguar USA at all and some third party leasing company instead?

Seems like a massive ripoff. I bet you could lease a Lambo for that much!

Uhhh... there's something very very broken there. That's more than I pay for my 2016 F-Type R on a 5 year loan with no money down.

Even the math with those numbers doesn't work out unless the money factor is INCREDIBLY high.

That's also a pretty tremendous discount on selling price. This deal as a whole makes no sense. Is it possible the salesperson you were talking to is just on crack?

Residual @ 39 months = 44%?!?
MF: .00243?

I asked them.. are these numbers provided by Jaguar NA.. they said yes.

No, no something very wrong here. I got the same price car last month with a residual of .56. With Jaguar/Chase

No joke, you can lease a 2016 McLaren 570S ($200k MSRP) for $2199/mo right now.

Uhhhh most people lease to decrease their monthly, not increase it. My residual was .61. Find another dealer. Stat.

Agreed. That dealer doesn't know how to read a rate sheet. If you want to try to work something out with them demand to see the rate sheet so you can calculate the payment yourself and/or take your business elsewhere.

For some reason I'm on my local Lamborghini Dealers' mailing list, the last Card they sent me was for a "Lease special" $60k down and $2500 pm, for, wait for it....2500 miles PA.

MF .00233, residual .56 Do not rely on any of the canned lease numbers, do the calculation yourself once you know the MSRP and adjusted cap cost.

i'm not sure what state you're in, so i'm using PA (where i live) ... you would be roughly 1118/month before tax for those numbers:

108k msrp
92k selling price
56% residual
0.00163 MF

The selling price and the residual are the two most sensitive items and your deal is a good one, as F-Types go. The residual is set by Chase and the dealer sets the selling price so jump on it.

Most offers I received were in the $12-1400 a month range with $5K down.

I got:

$107K MSRP
$95K price
$5K drive off
$933 a month
10K miles a year
33 months

on a "punched" dealer demo.

I'm 99% sure that 33 months is not as good at 39 when it comes to residuals?

I got quoted..

Zero drive off fee.

111k F-Type R Convertible

909 a month. 0 drive off fee.

But I can't do the vert... just not my thing.
