2014 F Type Purchase Concerns
Hello,
I currently own a 2012 XF and I have been wanting to upgrade to the F Type V6 S. I found a clean example that peaked my interest, but while checking the Carfax I found a few redflags:
02/01/2016 24,396
Maintenance inspection completed
Brakes checked
PCM reprogrammed ----------- Is this just a normal PCM reprogram or should I worry?
Tire condition and pressure checked
Wiper(s) replaced
11/18/2016 39,072
Coolant bypass pipe/hose replaced --------- Is this a common issue?
Cooling system checked
Rear brake pads replaced
Tire(s) replaced
Two tires balanced
Two tires mounted
The car is late 2013 build, are there big ticket items I should worry about since this is a early production car?
Your input is appreciated!

It sounds to me more like they just applied a PCM software update as part of all the other services and made note of it. It's possible it's recording a tune but that would seem kinda odd in the context of the other items in the list. But yeah either way call and ask to be sure.
The PCM reprogram happened at an authentic Jaguar dealership, so I am assuming it's a software update. The coolant bypass pipe/hose was replaced recently, this is what I am worried about more.
I agree that it was likely just a routine ECU update, there's bound to have been at least one since release. I would also agree that the coolant hose would be more concerning, however if all they replaced was a hose, it was likely due to a small leak. If the car had overheated, I imagine you'd be seeing a water pump replacement in the history as well.
Looking at my service history (early 2013 car):
The K309B TSB (O2 sensor calibration) lists 'configure existing PCM using IDS/SDD'
If you have detailed service info, check for:
K192 folding top enhancement
K243 climate control center vent (if it doesn't go up/down smoothly on its own)
J047 seatbelt tension wiring ('swapped wires in connector')
I've also replaced 2 O2 sensors (common), and purge control valve.
