Hello all,

I've been reading a software update could maybe fix some of the audio problems with my Meridian. It sounds pretty horrible. I don't know if I have the 770W version and not sure how to check but hopefully this update can fix it. I haven't been able to find where I can download the file and how to update it. Anyone have an article or instructions to do so? Also a link to the file would be nice. I don't believe they offer the file to download anymore.

I would hate to have to go to a dealer to do this since I'm sure they would charge me unnecessarily for it.

 

I believe the file you are referring to is for “noise in the tweeters”. I had it done at the dealership and it took a nod and a wink between my boss (former service manage the dealership) and his favorite level 4 tech. JLR wants the tech to “hear” the noise before updating the software. For me it didn’t make any significant change but I just wanted the latest software, because. Information on the TSB is available here on the forum if you search a bit.

If the logo on your interior door panel says only "Meridian," you don't. If it reads, "Meridian Surround," you do.
