Default 2017 f type v6 coupe

I’m currently looking at a 2017 F type jag coupe V6 S I was curious that the one I’m looking at the stop start button and the paddle shifters are black not the regular bronze color, is this normal? I’m a new buyer to Jaguar and I was just curious why the difference
Will a new buyer to the F type we have owned an F pace for two years and love it
Second question I have does anybody know if you can change the indicator from red to orange or is that a entire retail light assembly I know that in the UK and probably Europe if they run the orange blinking lights does anyone have any information on that for me I would prefer to have the orange blinker light thanks for your help

The start button on the ‘16 V6S is black. If you are referring to the exterior turn signals, the color is dictated by local law. I am certain you could replace with assemblies for another market, but you would have to consider how strictly that particular law will be enforced.

Bronze was changed to Black because that particular colour paint is not hardy and was not able to be made as a solid plastic colour. The story behind the colour is quite interesting reading .
You will see that almost all of the starter button replacements, and paddle replacement are because of premature wear of this paint , or breakdown of the coating over this colour.
Having said this I still love the bronze and would still chose it in place of black if i had to make a choice.

I much prefer the ignis orange and replaced my black one as the very first mod I did to my car. Now my OCD symptoms mandates that the start button gets depressed only with the pinky finger in order to minimize contact. I was the original owner of a 47 year old Datsun 240Z and when I sold it my family was relieved in having survived that ordeal. Little do they realize it all begins again with my F-Type.

it is finger nails that damage the surface, certainly. But the surface can be permanently protected by coating it with a clear plastic-adherent urethane spray. I replaced my Ignis button (worn) with a new Ignis button but coated it before installation. Perfect appearance, almost no chance of wear. I did the same thing with the Ignis paddle shifters.

Finger nails will tear up the exterior finish behind the door handle as well. Shouldn’t be an issue, though. Real men chew their nails to the bone.
