Not a clue. Jaguar Canada lags the US and UK. We might get the InControl Remote app in 2017 that they had in 2016.

Haven't heard about the 2017 changes...only thing I'm confident about:

- new infotainment/navigation system taken from the XEs. hopefully this will be a huge improvement, as the current one (even in the 2016) sucks

- minor cosmetic tweaks

I don't see much more they can do w/ the F-Type, i.e., targa version, new engine options, etc. don't seem realistic for Jaguar (versus Porsche, MB, etc. who are much bigger)...

Announcement of the major feature changes usually get publicized just prior to (U.S.) Thanksgiving (early November).

Default 2017 model

There's no guarantee that 2017 will be arriving in the spring. 2016 came out early. They may well decide to keep running the 2016 into the summer/fall.

Perhaps not, but 2013-2016 model years all came out late spring , early summer of the previous year.

I'd assume an SVR announcement of some sort would be the big news for 17.

Surely you realize that whatever you buy today is practically obsolete tomorrow? How do you think I feel about my dinosaur-like hunk-of-junk, over the hill and ancient 2015 V6S F-Type?

Exactly why I hope they don't release the 2017 until December of 2017... That way my 2016 can still be a current model year...

Damn old cars...

Oh yeah, one more thing: new doesn't necessarily mean improved.

well when its a totally new model yea you are right, but when its a newer version of an existing model it should be an improvement over older model

Greetings karmiar. Should be doesn't necessarily translates into will be. Take design for instance. Some here - many here? - prefer the earlier design of the F-Type (I'm thinking side skirts, rear body-colored spoiler) to the later models. My point simply being - and going back to my earlier point, as well as my second - is the latest might not be the greatest and if one waited for it one might be waiting a very long time. To each his own! Bite the bullet and be thrilled.

Carpe diem.
