Jay emailed me and asked me to post:

I’m returning home after an afternoon of recognizance for our event and in lieu of my trying to post these when I get home I thought I might trouble you?

You wouldn't believe how well connected he is. I've decided he knows everyone in the state of Maine.

As I was posting the photos for Jay, it did occur to me there seems to be a serious lack of asphalt roads in Maine!

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Not unless DJS (his parents live in MI) is organizing an event.

You know, Graham, there is one conclusive way to determine just how well-paved the roads are in Maine...and I’m quite sure someone would be delighted to have you as their co-pilot.

Looks like either new asphalt or lift systems for the f types needed! Haha

It’s a small State.

It’s been a tough winter here in Maine (that’s true in lots of places) but the road we’ll be on to visit the wild blueberry fields will be graded but not paved. You’ll (all) be fine.

I’m just grateful that the grower is allowing us the privilege of a visit. And..so will you.

For me it is definitely privilege as I picked up my F-Type beginning this year and so far so good! Looking very forward in having a great experience in Maine and with everything mentioned it will be great! Just hope for good weather that's all!!!

Rain or shine - and we’ve been incredibly lucky with spectacular weather* the past two events and years (2016 was early May and last year’s was early Oct; both “dicey” times to say the least) - I can assure you it’ll be enjoyable and memorable.

*while I’m in control of most aspects of our event, I’m afraid this is one which is completely out of my hands. Then again, I’m pretty damn lucky.

Default Help Wanted!

Far be it for me to stir the pot, but in this case I think it might be warranted.

First, did you know that the Forum has a Gulfstream? I didn’t.

Secondly, and I do NOT like to resort to pressure of any kind; never mind peer pressure, BUT I think if everyone attending this event “THANKS ME” on this post, we might get GGG - our Super Mod - to join us for the festivities.

Of course I could be wrong. In which case I will disavow your thanks.

You just did. And if I thought that that would tip the balance in having him attend, I’d provide it to him/us.

Truth is I am merely doing my part in helping to improve British and American relations.

GGG, we would sure like to see you there. I have an open right seat for you for the entire event and I'll make certain you get plenty of left seat time if you promise to stay in the right (and correct) lane. (Just follow the leader). It may be your only opportunity to ever drive a V6U.
