On navigation screen middle bottom, there is 6 small squares in a circle, touch that to get you going! I hope, cause I'm new, and hope you, or someone more learned will verify. Best!

Sorry guys, don't know if i am missing something but still can not see how to enter coordinates. Eg n24.3334444 e26.56789 degrees instead of an address. I could in my 2014 3.0s and 5.0s.

Oh, you meant coordinates coordinates! Interesting, I've never tried that. Well other than during land navigation training in the Army. Have you tried typing in the longitude / latitude coordinates in the search?

No, but been through all the options and can't see it. Coordinates was one of the choices in my previous cars. The maps aren't great when out of major towns in South Africa. A lot of places give gps coordinates.

I’ve never seen that option. Seems senseless in a road car since you can only go where there are roads. On the other hand, the nav system on my guided missiles...

nice 😎

As said previously address info out of major towns in SA is not very good. Street numbers and road names don't work. Coordinates are easiest or use google maps on your phone but defeats the object of having nav in the car

Good point. Extremely valid reason for coordinate input. I'll put you in touch with my munitions dealer and you can follow a missile after launching it.

Hey Vince what part of SA are you in ?
I lived outside Johannesburg in Edenvale as a kid. I sometimes use google earth to go back and find my old house. Amazing how much has changed. There was an old mine dump that we raced our go carts on and it is completely gone now.

Probably an illegal settlement now 😂 Schoemansville, Hartbeespoort, North West. About an hour away from Edenvale.

Lol, back then they would take all the spoils from gold mining and dump them in massive piles, the one I used to play on was about a half mile wide by a mile long and probably 50 feet high. Years and years of piled up dirt.
i have read that new technology has allowed the gold companies to reprocess the spoils and extract tons of gold that was just laying there for decades.
We lived there from 74 to 81, got to ride in my first Jaguar there, fond memories.

Sad for sure, been years since I had any contact with friends from there but they had nothing good to say about the direction things were going. Such a beautiful and unique place.

On the MY2016, press [Nav Menu] on the main Nav screen, then [Destination Entry], and then [More], and finally [Coordinate Entry]. Might be similar on the MY18.

Have you tried putting the coordinates in the Search box?

Bummer. Why do "improvements" always make things worse?
