WTF is he talking about????
(the journo in the article, not you Uncle!).
Quote: "If you’re not sure where I’m going with this quite yet, I’m talking about the supercharger whine that isn’t so noticeable anymore."
As we all know the SC whine on all stock V6 and V8 F-Types is and always has been pretty much completely unnoticeable anyway!!!
So now it's gone from completely unnoticeable to even more completely unnoticeable???

Obviously he has never driven any of the earlier model F-Types.

Edit - I think I may have sussed what the JLR spokestwit was going on about (parroted by the journo), quote:
”The engine cover and the sealing at the end of the bonnet [were altered] - that was the main input to reduce the whine.
and:
”We wanted to make sure that the car was something you could use all the time, on long journeys and so on, and [it was] one element that made the refinement better.”
It's got SFA to do with SC whine (of which there always was bugger all), instead it's all about the inherently noisy rattly ticky AJ133SC and AJ126SC engines and smothering those rattles and ticks.

"Cleantex cleaning & grooming tips" lol

Oz... Yeah, I was so confused. That "whine" is the least superchargy sound ever. Compared to friend's Supra's or Subaru... Ours is the supercharged sound of a cleft buttcheek.

The only matter of any interest in that article is that the torque and hp output of the F-Type V-8 (P450) is virtually identical to that of the tuned/pullied V6.
