Default 2025 No-Name Non-Event Event

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

About a month or two ago, @Mbourne & @DJS texted me, “how about we come up to Maine and have lunch or dinner together?” Shortly before that, one of our dear friends @Prhii picked up a stunning, immaculate, 2016 V6S sort of as a retirement gift to himself. Combining these two occurrences, I decided to send a simple “invitation” to a few others of our group. Little did I know that almost everyone replied that “we’re coming”. That included one of our group, and his wife, who flew back from London, England just to attend. He keeps his F-Type in Massachusetts while he is working in the UK and arrived after the following photo was taken.

What have I done?

”Just When You Thought It Was Safe to Go Back to Maine”.

Small though our group was (is, since today marked the first day of 3) I’m sure you will see plenty of great photos. Including this one when we dined at one of our favorites, Cook’s Lobster & Ale House on Bailey Island. Let this be the first of many.

And then there’s an interloper:

Further greetings and salutations to @Jimf @jaguny @Nati @Portlander @Ichi Ban@Thunder Dump

More to come…

Best regards,
Jay

Default Day 2 Breakfast…

About to pick the group up and head off to dinner…but here are just a few shots from this morning. (P.S. I’m exhausted).

Lots more to come, including a shorter-than-usual but still quite important With Thanks & Gratitude post.

Waiting for 3 more F-Types as part of our 10-car group before an amazing dinner at Water Street Kitchen & Bar in Wiscasset, Maine.

Last day is tomorrow. A bagel breakfast followed by @Nati leading the group on a few extra Maine “adventures”.

I got home a few hours ago (after a great time), and still need to download and organize pictures. In the meantime, here are some from the Maine Classic Car Museum…

So, it's not a growler.... What do we call that? I don't believe Great Whites have vocal cords. A chomper?

One more thing that I would like to mention is that we had absolutely perfect weather for this non-event. Bright, sunny skies each and every day, throughout the day. Low humidity too. Brisk mornings that were soon followed by toasty, warm afternoons. I wonder if Jay also arranged the weather for us.
