Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.
About a month or two ago, @Mbourne & @DJS texted me, “how about we come up to Maine and have lunch or dinner together?” Shortly before that, one of our dear friends @Prhii picked up a stunning, immaculate, 2016 V6S sort of as a retirement gift to himself. Combining these two occurrences, I decided to send a simple “invitation” to a few others of our group. Little did I know that almost everyone replied that “we’re coming”. That included one of our group, and his wife, who flew back from London, England just to attend. He keeps his F-Type in Massachusetts while he is working in the UK and arrived after the following photo was taken.
What have I done?
”Just When You Thought It Was Safe to Go Back to Maine”.
Small though our group was (is, since today marked the first day of 3) I’m sure you will see plenty of great photos. Including this one when we dined at one of our favorites, Cook’s Lobster & Ale House on Bailey Island. Let this be the first of many.
I got home a few hours ago (after a great time), and still need to download and organize pictures. In the meantime, here are some from the Maine Classic Car Museum… https://mainecarmuseum.com
One more thing that I would like to mention is that we had absolutely perfect weather for this non-event. Bright, sunny skies each and every day, throughout the day. Low humidity too. Brisk mornings that were soon followed by toasty, warm afternoons. I wonder if Jay also arranged the weather for us.
Another spectacular meeting of the F's and one eccentric interloper :-), put together by thee RickyJay, awesome job my friend!!
Patt and I certainly missed the gang, especially after seeing the pics, which certainly brought back some very fond memories.
