I see a lot of reviews of 2016 f-types saying that the 770w meridian system is standard for the year (in the US), even for the base coupe model.

But multiple 2016 vehicles I’ve looked at state that’s it’s the 380w system. Which is it? Surely it can’t be standard.. there’s a ton of threads on here discussing variations in the meridian system..

 

I'm pretty sure that the 380w system is standard, at least on the V6.

 

There isn't a single "standard" model of 2016 F-Type, engines and trims vary, so it's likely the default sound system will vary too.

 

In the US, the 770W system was standard for all MY16 cars (per 2016 brochure). However, that was not the case for other markets where the 330W and even the 170W might still have been standard on some of the models.

 

Every 2016 I've seen in the US has the 770W system, which is consistent with the brochure. If the listing says 380W it's likely just an error in the listing - an easy way to tell is to see if the speaker grille says "Meridian Surround" instead of just "Meridian"
