Smile Aftermarket 19" Wheels? Let's see em!

There are plenty of pictures on here and online of nice rides with 20" rims. I am currently debating going 19" for hopefully better ride quality, and wanted to see if anyone on the forum could share some pictures of their setup.

Please post specs and wheel if possible.

Thanks!

Hey @peppersam740

Found this pic on the aftermarket wheel thread, looks pretty good.

Do you have the specs?

Thanks!

Another example, although I am not really digging the style

Model: Bola B-18
Dimensions: 8.5x19 9.5x19

This is a staggered set up with Pirelli 274 35 19 on the rear and 245 40 19 Tyres on the front.

Does your post mean that you are not currently running PS4S tires? I’m pretty sure you have to a show a receipt for the purchase of a set in order to establish a user-ID on this site. It is also important to mention these tires in all posts; even if they have nothing to do with tires, traction, wheels, or cars - All PS4S - All the time!!!

LOL. I do not have them on the jag. However I have them on my c63 coupe! I also have PS4S tattooed across my face; I hope they don't come out a better tire soon...

Finally, someone with a sense of humor - c63 is sweet and the face tattoo is a very nice touch - you should be proud of your tire affiliation. I actually saw a super nice c63 coupe the other day - looked like a newer model - discrete black w/black but you could see the monster calipers.

What have you got on your car currently? I had OEM 19's on mine (Centrifuge, not a bad looking wheel and easy to clean) but went to 21's with PSS's (so not PS4S, does this mean I am banned?) really for aesthetic reasons. I found that the ride on OEM 19's (with P-zeros) was pretty good, but it didnt worsen with the bigger wheel and better tyre except maybe on very bad roads. Handling improved significantly, those OEM wheels must be made out of lead.

Who cares about wheels, it's all about the tires. Make sure to go with Michelin PS4S. Any other tire, and you will for sure crash.

Forged wheels that are10-12 pounds lighter at each corner will improve handling.

+1 non-PS4S is basically like suicide by automobile......Of course, you could end up getting numerous tires from Michelin with bad belts that could not be balanced and sounded like a train when traveling at speeds greater than 25 MPH - allegedly.... I kept them anyway as I mainly drive through school zones

WAIT, is that an issue with these, my biggest complaint is how loud these things are, 3x as loud as my firehawks... Is that not normal with these?

The PS4S is quieter than the PZero and should not be 3 times noisier than anything. gg is the only one I know who has had an issue with them, but that still makes it a known (by him) issue.

I traverse a variety of road surfaces of varying state of repair. For most, the P4S was slightly quieter than the PZero, but for some, both are equally loud.

Because of the road quality I ordered 19s on the car (Centrifuge). I'm considering rims, and haven't pulled the trigger yet because I haven't settled on design, but this conversation leads me to consider 19s instead of 20s. I won't change rims unless I can go wider on tires though, and pretty much everyone with aftermarket seems to have gone 20 or larger.

They are for sure louder than the Continental Extreme Contact Sports I had for a couple hundred miles.

Why not just order wider 19's?

That's what I'm currently considering. So far, no styles have really jumped out at me from the VS or BC lineup. Some are decent though, so still in the running.

I really liked the Vorsteiners, I took these in 21" but they come in 19. They look great (in graphite), and are very light https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/19-Inch-...-/253211921811
