Interesting sound, I need to come hear it in person, it doesn't sound as deep as it does on the R.

I think the VALOUR is the best sounding aftermarket exhaust after hearing all these back to back.

Given the disparate methodologies for sound recording, there is no way to accurately judge the relative sound quality among these exhaust systems. At the end of the day, it will always be a crap shoot. Witness the folks who have experimented with multiple systems.

Hello FR500GT,
What a great sound your car makes, I wasn't thinking about changing the rear apron on my S but now that I heard this I'm seriously thinking about the V8 R exhaust upgrade.
Do you know if apart from the apron this OEM mid and end R section just bolt's on plug and play or are their other changes to be made to the exhaust tubes.

This could be a great synergistic opportunity here - with the group buy going on with the Velocity AP exhausts, some of us R owners will have extra OEM exhausts laying around. Heck, mine even has black ceramic coated tips....

Exactly. And unfortunately we all live in different places across the country so its damn near impossible to hear custom and aftermarket setups in person for these cars. That's why I am trying things out...someone's gotta do it!

Thanks! The R rear diffuser and valance are needed (I might have mine for sale soon). The R rear section exhaust exhaust simply bolts up to the factory V6 midpipe. I am not sure if the R midpipe is also interchangeable on the V6 but I might end up trying it out later on down the road. This setup is 100% plug and play, no other changes needed!

Agreed. It's the perfect "factory" upgrade for the V6 and V6S. Now give me your factory midpipe when you receive your VAP setup

Default Help !!

Hello everyone, I have a problem I was wondering if anyone could help me with. I have a jaguar f type s v6 and I have the stock exhaust on it. I have a big exhaust leak and I know where it is coming from however I do not know if the exhaust is missing a part or if it is just screwed in improperly. I looked at jaguar parts and diagrams however I can not find any information on the piece that I am looking for. If anyone has their jaguar on a lift and could take a picture of the catalytic converter I would greatly appreciate it so that I can compare if mine is missing something.

Thank you

This is a massive document (480MB), graciously shared by OzXFR. Check out section 309, everything you want to know about the V6 exhaust.

Thats my car FR500GT and i have since put the resonator back on. It was insanely loud without it, just too much for me. Now I just have the Velocity AP converters with tune and its perfect imo.

I knew you were still around here somewhere lol

Did it drone with the resonator deleted? Was the sound deeper or high pitched? Since no one makes just a resonator delete, I’m guessing that you just cut them out and replaced it with an X pipe or 2 straight pipes?

Yes sir i'm still around from time to time lol. The sound was high pitch and it did drone a bit. I've had ton's of loud cars in my life but this one was too much. We just cut out the resonator and put two pipes in its place. This is a wide open drive by when i first had it done.

Amouch looks and sounds good. Not overly loud and has some nice pops to it.
