All season tires
Anyone running the Continental EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 Plus on their F Type? Are you happy with them?
Need new tires for my 2017 SVR and want to go with all seasons to let me use it in the shoulder periods when it's cooler but dry (I don't drive it in the depths of winter). AWD of course. 3 season driving in the NE USA.
There is also a Bridgestone Potenza. Those seem to be the only two that fit the SVRs fatter wheels (265/35/20 front and 305/30/20 rear)

tkwesa: I was curious after reading your post to check out the Vredestein option.
But when I checked the V site I could not find matching tires to fit front and rears (20 inch).
It seemed as though the Ultrac Vorti was the only tire to fit the rears (295/35/20)

You could probably fit the 285 size, but why when you could go with the Michelin pilot sports?

Yes! I bought my new-to-me 2017 this past fall. The selling dealer had put 'new' summer-onlys on the front, but the rears were close to being done. I have Contis on my Golf and like them so I had the Extreme Contact DWS put on early this spring. Quiet, good ride. I had a full alignment done and also RoadForce balancing. I'm sure there are differing opinions, but I like them. My local JLR dealer was just a few dollars more than going through one of the online tire retailers, plus I get lifetime rotating and balancing for having bought 4. The four tires were $841.16, the RF M&B was $100 and the alignment was 190.00.

I've been running DWS 06 Pluses for a few months now and I'm extremely happy with them. Before that I had the earlier version (DWS 06) mounted and finally replaced them after 32K miles once the inner shoulder wear started making them noisy.
Same here. I picked up my car in Jan of this year and threw a set of the DWS 06+ and got through some snow and a few days excessive rain with no issues. I did push the car with some precipitation on the ground (no one was around) to get a feel for traction control and how the car behaves. No issues and felt pretty surefooted.

I plan to use these come the Fall.

How so cheap?? Best I can find is nearly $1300 just for the tires. Can't get close to $840...
I have 18s on this car, if you have the larger wheels, maybe that is why the price you found is more. I bought 245/45ZR18 100Y XL & 275/40ZR18 99Y. Tire Rack had the 245s for $163.99 each and the 275s for 250.99 each. The JLR dealer was close enough price wise, that I felt it was reasonable to buy from them. When I bought all seasons for my 2018 Corvette, I brought the Tire Rack quotes in to the selling Chevrolet dealer and nicely inquired about price matching. The also got close enough. I cannot figure out why there were so many options for wheels for that car, but they all came with summer-only tires. The replacement tires were Pilot Sport All-season Run Flats. Those tires have also worked out well. The two cars definitely drive differently, esp the F with its electric assist. If you look on Tire Rack, they do have agreements with tire shops in your area for mounting. Now the tricky part is, do you really want to have someone other than a JLR dealer put them on? May be yes, maybe no. In the 6 months I had the F before putting the new tires on, I felt very comfortable with my JLR dealer and they have treated me very well. The small price difference between them and Tire Rack was not enough for me to take it to some tire mounting place. There have been points made about the JLR specs for alignment for Fs, a question I will ask the next time I go in.
$913 at Tirerack for 2014 S tires.
I’ve been running them since this spring and I’m very happy with them. Plan to run them most of the year in Maine as well.

I have a '17 R and run the Conti's in the same size as the SVR, I've been very happy with them.
I ran one set of the Mich Pilots on my older XKR and they were horrible, poor traction and poor tread wear. Won't ever buy the Mich again.

Thanks all. Ordered the continental dws+ today
Valerie is right - price difference is driven by size (20s are much more expensive that 18s). To some extent by width although strangely the 305s are slightly cheaper than the 265s...
I have a local tire shop I trust and have used for 10 years so will have them fit it rather than the dealer. They just do tires all day - dealer doesn't do that sort of volume.
