Default Android (Galaxy S6) video via USB?

Hi, I am new to the forum. I have a 2016 White F-type R and I love the car....but, some of the stuff is hard to figure out with little instruction to be found. I tried a search for this but had no real luck. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and I want to play video off of it on the touch screen. Is there any way to do this. I tried figuaring out the apps and just hooking up the USB cable to no luck. It keeps saying attach USB but I have. I am hoping someone, if not everyone but me, knows how to do it.

Are you plugging it into the driver side USB port?

Yes. I even tried the other side for the heck of it. Has anyone been successful playing video off of their phone? If so what did you do...in detail if you can.
Thanks.

Just and thought from outside the box: check your S6 for a setting authorizing or setting video to be output through the USB cable. IIRC, my old S4 had to be set for select sound options such as Bluetooth broadcast of music.

One thing to note, make sure you are using the cable that came with the phone, or atleast one that isn't bought on Ebay for $4.99. Those cheap cables do not go well with transferring files or charging.

Thanks but I looked and can't find a setting or anything to change. Are you able to watch video off of your phone on the touchscreen?
