Another rather ... odd review :)
Poetic in places, and rather daft in others 
"Jaguar's crow-stunning sound, the beautiful, beastly, oak-splitting racket that the R Coupe is capable of making in the throes of a heated overrun, a version of which I will now attempt onomatopoeically: SPLAT! SPLAT! Hee-dee-de-DUMP dump, rat-in-yer-hat, rat-in-yer-hat…"

Big fan of Dan Neil's work. His F Type V8S review remains one of my favorites and was fresh in my mind when I was testing and buying my car.
As far as I know, Dan Neil is still the only auto journalist with a Pulitzer Prize. His work is almost uniformly excellent and right on the money.

Living in Dallas, the Dallas Morning News auto guy did a review of the Coupe R today:
