Default Anyone with 40,000+ miles

im looking at a used R and to get in the price range I am willing to spend they are 40,000+ miles.

Thoughts?

As long as it been maintained, and not beat to hell it shouldn't be a problem.

Depends on how its been treated. I really look after my cars, bought it new 3 years ago - now has 18k miles on it now and I can honestly say it looks and drives as new.

If you get a car that hasn't been treated with care and sympathy it can be trashed at 10k miles let alone 40k.

Buy based on condition.

Get a 3rd party exclusionary warranty and don't worry about it.

Thanks. I was wondering more because it's a Jag. Obviously general wear and tear increase with use. I didn't know if these were prone to more issues with higher mileage.

I think this is bad advice. Third party warranties designed to bilk you out of your money by throwing fine print at you... that is, anything that likely to break would not be covered.

If you buy through AAA, you get very good value. The extended warranty on my MINI easily paid for itself.
