Default anyone done a "new car detail service"

I have an appt tomorrow morning with a place that has detailed my other cars many times before. They plan on doing a new car detail: clay bar, paint seal, wax, leather seal, carpet protection, etc...

However, im nervous about my brand new car getting messed up. Anyone have expetience with this type of service? Were you happy you did it?

Hi there, congrats on the new car.......

As for new car detail, I have no eperience myself but have read many many posts on the subject.

New cars nowadays often come c/w micro marring, holograms in the paint finish, minor scratches etc and more.

It seems that anything new and fairly shiny is good enough to pass for new, when in actual fact there's quite a bit of damage to the paint finish.

Check out the many posts on detailing world and see for yourself.

If you have a good top quality detailer, your car should only be enhanced & improved

Good luck

Well, I went through with it today.

Turned out, fantastic! They paint looks incredible, pulled more of the sparkle out of the lunar gray. The interior dash is matte, not gloss (yay!), and they protected all the carpets (including the trunk) and the soft top. That last one is a big deal to me.

Did you do 'Before and After' photos?

( and send the invoice to your Jaguar dealer )
