Is it feasible to swap the base model high back seats (leather and alcantara facings) to the optional sports seats? Thanks in advance.

 

The seats should function correctly but you may have SRS issues if the airbags are VIN coded. I swapped XFR seats into my XF. They function but I have the SRS light on. We cleared a fault with the Autel but couldn’t clear the light. Took it to the dealership and they said the pretensioners had the wrong Ohm value so I pulled the pretensioners out of the original seats and swapped them into the R seats. Still have the light. Need to get it back to the dealership to see what else might be unhappy.

 

Also the base seats are called Sports and the upgraded seats are called Performance, at least on the earlier models (pre 2020???), so when shopping for new seats don't go looking for Sports seats coz that is what you already have!

Note that the word "performance" is not in the ad anywhere, because these seats are out of an F-Type R (and they have the R logo embossed into them) and the earlier R only ever came with the Performance seats anyway.
