Best Setting for Gravel Roads?
Here in California, I occasionally drive ranch roads, well maintained crowned dirt roads topped with gravel, which can get slippery because of that gravel. With the AWD R, would the snow and ice setting be best? The manual recommends trac dsc , my guess is that's so the nanny won't keep kicking in with every little tire slip and keep cutting the throttle.. Any advice?
Thanks in advance.

I'd probably go for the snow/ice mode for the 50/50 drive split then 1 touch traction control for the trac dsc setting.
Although personally any road where i could throw up stones i'd be going so slow it wouldn't matter anyway lol

My setting for gravel roads is to avoid them. If I happen upon one then I do about 2 mph until I can find a place to turn around.
Thread drift, a couple of years ago I hit one on my bike doing about 40. Pavement ended with no warning. A certain orifice on my body puckered big time.

Reminds me of a Porsche story...owner put almost as many miles on it backing out and driving in to his garage washing it.....than driving it. On a weekend trip with spouse refused to drive over 2-300 yds of road repair gravel so returned home. Spouse not amused. Sold the car to a driver who tracked it, drove it like he "stole"it.
The FType is a car....each of us will operate it in our own way. For me, the nearest track has approx 2m of good gravel before the entry. Most of the track cars are Porsches....they go at 20mph -50 mph.....I am not looking forward to door dings, stone chips etc.....but will deal with them as they arise. Mine is not a garage queen.

No real complaints about the XE..allot of bang for the buck for sure...at this stage in my life..I thought "Why the F not? so to speak:-) The F-Type for me is a step up in cabin comfort,(although not have the back seat to turn around and tops things into take getting used to:-) build quality, braking and steering...the steering is weighted heavier which I love...and the exhaust note is heaven. Big difference between open and closed exhaust baffle. Gearbox is more responsive and paddle shifting works great even when downshifting. The AWD is a big plus for handling security, and well,...the throw you back in the seat acceleration makes your face sore from smiling.
