Question Black OEM Exhaust Tips - R spec

Good morning everyone!

Just pulled the trigger on a 2015 F-Type R Coupe!

Dealer claims that the "Carbon Package" back then had black OEM exhaust tips included with the carbon ceramic brakes, but I cant find any proof of that. Does anyone know if Black exhaust tips were an OEM option back then or where I should continue my search? Ive tried everywhere on google.

Thank you for any info you may be able to provide!

Answer:

No OEM Black Tips exist. This was aftermarket.

Yeah, dealer doesn't know what he's talking about. Neither the carbon pack or the black pack would give you black exhaust tips. Until very recently, they didn't include black badges, either. You could get your exhaust tips in any finish you wanted as long as it was the same chrome tips as all other F-Types.

Agree with others. Have never seen Black tips (OEM)…That is a simple fix however I used heat proof Black Ceramic Paint on mine, and they came out great, and are holding up very well so far!

Good luck,
DC

This reminds me I need to go for this look on my car as well. It's chrome deleted everywhere except the wheels, and those pipes get dirty literally 5 minutes into driving.

I have black tips as well and it does help to mask the dirt a little but after a couple drives the soot still makes its way to the bumper.
