Wow: you can buy the complete Body Assembly for less than $20,000 for a 2015, $34,200 for a 2017 from JaguarReno.com
So a talented DIY'er could take a totalled F-Type and rebuild it onto (into?) a new Body Assembly.
Available for 2015: https://parts.jaguarreno.com/v-2015-...dy--body-shell
Available for 2017: https://parts.jaguarreno.com/v-2017-...dy--body-shell
Has anyone ever done this or is this a professional body shop repair?
I"m impressed that JLR probably can build you any major part given the automated nature of the manufacturing process.

Quite doable if all other significant components (suspension, etc.) are still intact, you don't assign any value to your own time, have several hundred hours to spare, and don't care about the resale value. More cost effective to go out and buy a used F-Type in excellent condition. In 30 years, in a collector car environment, maybe a different story.
For as long as I can remember, bodyshells have been listed in JEPC (Jaguar Electronic Part Catalogue) for all models. Here's an example for the F-Type convertible:
However, I'm sure the delivery time and payment terms will be designed to prevent anyone actually ordering one.
