Default Booster Seat

I pick up a 2015 F Type R in 26 hours and I would like to give my 4yr old son the first ride. Can passenger airbags be disabled and has anyone tried a booster seat that fits well? Thanks.

A full booster seat with a back will be difficult in the heavily bolstered seats. I regularly take my 8 yr. old son with me on short trips in the convertible, but he's in a bottom-only booster because of his stature and to get the shoulder belt positioned properly. Even that booster doesn't fit all that well.

As for the air-bag, it's on a sensor. Whenever my son is in the passenger seat, the light comes on to indicate that the passenger air-bag is off. The sensor detects that there is something in the seat, but that whatever is there weighs too little to activate the air-bag. Even my 12 year old daughter sometimes doesn't activate the air-bag. I'm sure the weight limit is posted somewhere in the manual.

Great information, thank you. Sounds like I will be stopping by Babies R Us on the way home from the dealer tomorrow.

The air bag will also disengage if the car is started with the seat belt connected with no/limited weight on the passenger side.

Booster seats for the F-Type are available from Jaguar.
