Default Burning Smell after hard pull on highway

I took my car out yesterday (2015 R) and after it was properly heated up (45min) I did a long strong pull (60kmh - 160kmh) at full throttle, straight-line. As soon as I lifted the throttle, a slight burning smell was noticeable.

What could this be?

I did check the coolant (still at the high mark when engine is cold)

Could be a lot of things.

Best path forward is to get the car on a lift, look for any leaks. A past 'seepage' could have simply 'baked off' after the enthusiastic drive.

Do you smell it during driving, or after the car comes to a stop? Had your rear differential vent checked recently?

^^^ The above are W.A.G.s provided at NO CHARGE...

Did you have it in storage for the winter and this was the first hard pull?

Check your brakes to make sure a caliper isn't stuck.
