My weekend car-related PSA.. Canepa's last open house for 2014 is this Saturday. If you've never heard/been to Canepa down in Santa Cruz area, you're missing out! The guy's workshop/museum is amazing. Everything from old Porsche 917 to new McLaren P1. Last time I was there they were restoring Michael Jordan's 959

Cool...so close and can you believe I've never been? I've chatted with Bruce several times over the years and he seems to be a real down to earth guy...and one hell of a driver too!

Maybe I'll cruise the '28 over if the weather cooperates...

 

Who cares about the Porsches. That 69 Mustang 429 Cobra Jet captured my attention. There weren't many of those produced.

 

Looks like we're gonna caravan over early with a couple of pro-touring Camaro's, I'll leave the '69 Z/28 at home and cruise in the '28, I hope it's not too drippy with fog in the morning or I might get wet,lol!

Well we got to Canepa's around 8 and checked the place out, when I came out, look who snuck up next to me...yep, that's the shift-man!

 

I'm trying to envision how these two are going to live in the front garage...it'll be a tight squeeze but I hope this is the view I'll have when I roll up the door in about a month,lol!

 

nice finally meeting you buick! so random I parked next to you. For some reason I thought you were going to be in a camaro. hope you had fun. we'll have to do a bay area meetup once you get your car delivered.
