It's just a base '14 but the black top, interior and black wheels seem to be calling out for more....what do you think?
Like Shaun, I'm not a big fan of black wheels but if this was mine and I had to sell it without putting a lot of $ into it while appealing to the widest market, I'd go with the black side vents, and I'd also think about the subtler approach of front-to-back pinstripes along the fender creases. I really liked the look it gave to Zee's car, adding a little more definition between the horizontal and vertical body shapes, and it could be nice way to break up impact of the Firesand paint, which is a bit of an eye-full. Maybe a medium grey or perhaps a twin gray and, say, off-white line (some of the best pin-striping I've seen are colors you'd never think would work with the base color, but somehow it does). Anyway, a good pinstripe artist would probably know what will work.

I think you're on to something here....I saw Zee's car and it looked great...wish I had taken photos....I'll reach out to him for that. And I like the two-tone idea as long as it's subtle....

Like jumbo shrimp, there are few oxymoron's as apropos as F-Type and subtle...although I know exactly what you mean Mike.

Don't recall that I got any pix of Zee's pinstriping, but unexpectedly, I thought it looked good too.

If I were going to stripe, I'd go with the asymmetrical and two width stripe like zmoothg's photo. I'd tone the stripe color down and even consider a matt color. The center dual stripe is more American muscle to my eye.

Stripes distract from the natural beauty of the shape. I opted to stray from the norm and forego the stripes on my cobra

IMHO the only color that a stripe looks good on is white. The white f-type with green really pops, the red stripe is not so bad either. And I am not a stripe fan. I prefer solid colors with maybe a subtle pinstripe.

I'd do black side vents and then put a 1/4" body color strip on the edge of the rims and call it good.
Nice looking car.

For what it is worth, IMO, the white FT begs for something. Those green stripes on it look great. They really make the car a better looker.

The other colors do not seem to beg for something like the white does. The white seems to be unfinished to me.

As for the Firesand, being a vert, you cannot stripe the roof so you are limited.

I'd say leave it alone except for suggestions in matching the bits to all black or all chrome.

Nice car though just as she is!

You could always do the Project 7 stripe (without the logo). It would look good in black, silver or white.

I actually don't hate the one from the beginning of this video, though it looks a lot better with the body-color roof:

My Sky came with Factory Stripes and while I was ok with them, I think I will keep the F-Type stripeless -

History doesn't recall who Beethoven's 'Elise' was, but I think you nailed it - it was his Lotus. Maybe that's why he went deaf...

I Like It!

I test drove this pre-owned beauty a couple of months ago when I was in the market. The owner had spent something like $20K on aftermarket mods. Red and black diamond stitching on the interior including seats, door panels and wall-to-wall floor mats. Exterior had tons of carbon fiber, he replaced the exhaust and obviously changed the factory stance. It was beautiful, but a little too much 'in your face' for me, so I passed.

However, had I bought it, one of the first things I would have done is to remove the racing stripe. IMHO, there are very few cars that are enhanced by such an embellishment. Just my opinion.

I have just cut a set of stripes like this for my car in Matte black. Will apply them over the winter and see if I like them. I also cut the prowler for the rear quarter panels
