Default ceramic coating

I know there is different types/stages of ceramic coatings, what is the average price for a good quality ceramic coating done by a detailer.

with an average amount of paint correction, maybe $1000.

I was quoted $950 US for wash, full detail (in/out), paint correction, and 9h ceramic coating. When the guy got to the trunk he said it looked like cats slept on it and it needed an additional 6hrs of wet sanding and the price went up to $1050 US but by the time he was applying the ceramic, there was a new 10h product with 9yr warranty and he didnt charge me more for that.

No clue how that amount translates to where you are located

Getting it done on a new car, so it would be going straight from dealer to the detailer

that will certainly save you money in prep time. So, something less than that but not like $500, still probably $700+ US

Mine was pretty virgin, and it cost me $1200 for everything. The paint correction was needed, even on an almost virgin car. Keep in mind that the finish you have when you put on the Ceramic Pro is the finish you'll have for a few years, so really get it right...

You guy's are lucky. Here on Long Island where they overcharge for everything. I was quoted $1750 for Ceramic Pro Silver Pkg(5 yr Guarantee), $2600 for Gold(lifetime) Other detailer that applies Opti-Coat was $1500 for 3 yr guarantee and $2400 for 10 year.

Not sure about the average price, but I paid $1800 for the Ceramic Pro Gold package: exterior, interior, wheels, glass. It was over a year ago and the car feels like glass. No waxing ever needed. Well worth it.

How long does ceramic last? I have C-quartz on a 2015 and just curious. Reload used every 90 days or so on it also.

Different manufacturers have different warranties. CarPro's warranty on CQuartz Finest is 2 years. They deteriorate faster with more sun exposure.

Mine is a garage queen, but I'll probably have it paint corrected, reapplied this fall.

Nothing worse than a dirty car.

Stunning car watson6505 , got a quote of £600 to do the complete package on the car from start to finish from wash to any paint correction if any , ceramic coating, waxs, wheels and glass done. Also the complete interior including seats. The car has to be left for 2 days for the coating to cure after appliction.

These guys are doing the job,

I have had Gtechniq Crystal Serum on my car for almost 3 years now, and it holds very well. Can not see any differense from the day it was done. Water reppelent, shine and the ease to just hose the dirt off is as good now - and no swirlmarks what so ever since it was done. I believe it will hold very well for several more years.

My car is not exposed to lots of sun though - as I live in Norway, keep the car parked in a garage and stored in winter hibernation for 4-5 months a year.

$1250 for C.Quartz here, which included paint correction, Iron-X treatment, polish and 2 coats of C.Quartz. I treat with Reload every 6 months. So much easier to wash than wax or polish.

Looks great!

you might also consider lowering springs (vap, etc)

May consider the lowering springs at some point...I wanna see how it looks with the spacers, new wheels, and new tires first. I also do NOT want to do anything that might jeopardize my CPO. I am dying to do the VAP tune and pulley but I have close to 3yrs left on my CPO and can't flush that for the engine and anything else that they may try to blame on the modifications. Would suspension related warranty claims be rejected with reason being new springs and the impact to the overall factory suspension???

I'd really like to see the tune programmers find a way to write to the ECU and overwrite the field/date/etc that shows that there was a tune loaded. Remove the audit trail so to speak.

It was a product called 10h, which was described as "CSU Black – Crystal Serum Ultra topped with EXO package"

That is all mumbo jumbo to me, but that is what my detailer called it.

Crystal Serum and EXO are both Gtechniq product names, so I would guess it is Gtechniq - same combination that I have on my car.

I am really interested in a ceramic coating. The front of my car has Xpel Ultimate on and would Ceramic coat the rest of the car,my concern is the long term affect on the paint. I intend to keep the car a long time and I cannot find any info on how the ceramic coat looks after 5+ years.
