Thanks for this notice. I just deleted my In Control Account. It's maddening to have all this data collected and sold.
I did a deep-dive on the Jaguar website to try and opt-out of data collection. There's no information at all on how to do this. On one page at the bottom of thousands of words of text is the statement "contact us with your VIN and registration number if you wish to opt-out". That's it. No button, no setting, no option to opt-out. They deserve a lawsuit on this.
I read through the actual lawsuit which you can find in the link. The plaintiffs sent JLR a letter about the data collection and asked JLR to stop collecting their data. JLR declined. JLR also did not deny the data was being collected.
They have general information and you can search your cars by VIN. They can also help with requesting your data be purged, although I think they're pretty swamped right now.
Here's what it shows for both my newer Jag's. (I guess I would need to take the e-Type to any strip clubs, but none of the employees would be old enough to know what it is.)
