Default Clear Bra installed

Had a Clear Bra installed yesterday. Used teh Sun Tek material as it seems to be less noticeable. Covered the front bumper, grill bar, headlights, mirrors and door handles. Very happy with the results! Also had it waxed and sealed.

Had it installed at Concours Auto Spa in Torrance - Doug is a great guy and very attentive to details. Highly recommended.

If you did not film the hood, you're gonna wish you had. Road gravel will drive you mad.

I am only having the bikini cut for the hood. I have had that done before in other cars. Should I have the whole hood wrapped?

I did just the 1/3 of the hood. I think if you use the car in an area where there is a lot of rad debris etc, I would wrap the hood, its worth the extra $. All my cars have had the bikini cut, and I have never had a problem past that point. My car will mainly be used on city streets with the occassional freeway trip.

I just had mine done with the Suntek ultra, I had the entire front end, complete hood (1 piece) both doors and the rockers through to the rear wheels. The only parts not done is the boot and the windshield trim. I was told I never should wax the film, just the areas that weren't covered.

I admit, in the sunlight the car really pops...no regrets on doing it

I found that the partial hood wraps do not protect in the case of high speed travel, especially if following others with sticky tires (that means you, Jay ). I have a couple of scars in the hood wrap near the wind shield.

Moi?

Nom de plume notwithstanding, Unhingd IS the voice of reason. I'd listen to him if I was you.

I covered all but rear deck and back quarters with Xpel. Relatively inexpensive insurance for chips and minor door contact. My only regret was not finding an installer that wrapped all edges.

Ditto!
I have one deep divot in the clear bra, about 6' below the windshield, and numerous others closer to the front, but still above the area covered by a bikini-cut clear bra.

Well after talking to people here on the board. I had my entire front end and rocker panels done in Suntek by AutoPaintGuard in Tampa.

There must be an Ohio law prescribing nothing but white cars.

That actually makes sense, then. The last thing you need is a dark colored car in Florida.

Looks like they custom cut the film as opposed to precut? Can I ask what they charged? I need to get my redone.
