Default Collecting my R! What should I double check?

I finally found the perfect F Type R I was looking for. Found a late 2016 model with only 6000km on it which is amazing! got extended CPO warranty too.

The car is almost brand new but wanted to know from everyone here if there are certain things to check for when collecting the car and before signing away on the papers?

They're all pretty minor. Mainly software updates.

My '16 has been great - no issues.

1. I would say spend time figuring out the various settings on the touch screen - particularly with regard to learning how to make it connect with your iphone (if applicable) and your Jaguar App.

2. BEFORE YOU START IT, turn the ignition on (without cranking) and check the electronic dipstick while car is on a flat ground. Many dealerships are over filling oil as the new AWD has lesser oil spec's than the previous models and tech's are getting the update.

3. It is an EXTREMELY powerful car, therefore, check it like a race car - make sure all the lugs are torqued properly. Also, test the brakes by getting up to highway speeds and applying brake pressure at 100% and make sure she doesn't pull hard to either side and that the brakes feel hard / not spongy. Visually inspect the tires carefully for any cracks.

4. Take a minute to truly understand the shift lever and anyone who drives needs to understand...
Put in Park by depressing the top button while foot on brake
Put in Drive by squeezing the shift lever trigger and pulling aft twice.
Put in Sport mode by moving lever toward the driver.
Put in manual paddle shift exclusively by pulling the paddle while in Sport mode.
Put back in auto sport by pulling the right paddle and holding for 5 seconds.
Put back into auto normal (Drive) by moving lever back to upright position.
Put ebrake on by pulling up the brake switch on console.
Disengage ebrake by pushing down the brake switch, or simply by driving off.

5. BEWARE - You may find yourself sitting in the car and revving the engine for no good reason. Its highly addictive.

All the best!

Ask for the original msrp sticker. I like to keep mine. Also can ce referenced to see what options the car has, although I think you can get this electronically.
