I too appreciate the work you've done for the community. I wouldn't have had the motivation, and certainly not the time to drive the short-shifter project, but benefit from that every time I get behind the wheel. That's not the only benefit I've derived here, but is indicative.

I truly am loath to do this, and I hate to burst your bubble—but after numerous posts and far too many “likes” to my thread—THERE IS NO UNHINGD. It’s all made up. Years ago Jaguar Forums (no doubt in conjunction, collaboration and collusion with Super Mod GGG), in their infinite wisdom, decided to create a fictional Forum Member for the express purpose of addressing many of the issues F-Type owners (and leasees) might face. “Unhingd“ is simply an amalgamation of many collective minds to help grease the wheels of this specific Forum. Obviously they have succeeded beyond their wildest imagination. I only regret that I am the one to expose this long-standing (almost 15,000 posts) farce. Further...I am also about to blow the entire lid off of this operation and post what so-called “Unhingd” actually looks like.

 

I, on the other hand, am very real. Just setting the record straight and with a clear conscience. I will, of course, relinquish and resign my Forum membership effective immediately. It’s been a fun and informative—at times, highly entertaining—5 plus years. Thank you all.

I guess my posting privileges haven’t been completely revoked just yet but, come on scm. I’ve read your posts. You’re a smart and clever guy (and I’ve always enjoyed your posts.). You really think there’s someone on this Forum called Unhingd? We made that name up! And think about it. Do you really think there’s someone out there making ALL these mods on one car? Manufacturing flywheels, sprockets, and widgets? Gimme a break. It’s all a facade and, yes, you are a figment of your imagination. We all are.
