Default In Control Genius Maps

Bit of a long shot.
Does anyone use Genius Maps via In Control?
I find it a good Nav app but I can't get the volume on guidance to work. It's either muted or at an inaudible low volume.
I've emailed the developers but they say that the volume is controlled via the car.
I can see no way to do this.
Anyone? Thanks.

If it's anything like the OEM nav system, the volume control knob is only functional while the nav is saying something. Twisting the volume knob at any other time has no impact.

Thanks for info.
That's a crazy design. If you can't hear anything how do you know when to turn the volume knob?
Whenever I turn the knob I get music or radio.
The choice with this app is muted or inaudible. Great app otherwise.
Love the car though.

Here's how you do it: 1) turn on the radio, 2) push the "go to destination button", 3) as soon as the radio mutes itself turn up the volume (before the radio is unmuted).

OK when I use the built in Nav the radio does not mute and voice guidance seems to be working. Just been out to the car in the garage and tried it.
My app doesn't mute the radio either.
So it's looking like I can get voice guidance with the OEM Nav at least.
Only driven a few miles in my new car so a steep learning curve at present.
In Control is more like out of control.
I see that today Jaguar have announced Pay in the Car via the touch screen for Petrol at Shell Stations. Not yet available for F -Type. Just wish they'd spend the money on Apple CarPlay instead.
Thanks for your input unhinged.

It's not uncommon for the nav volume and the audio volume to be decoupled. Most nav screens have a "repeat or speak guidance" so that you can "enable" the volume knob for your navigation setting....

I too would welcome CarPlay as an alternative to JustDrive...but I don't see it happening for those of us already on the road.
