Fully expecting I may get some slack for this, but trying to brainstorm:

A big negative by opting to get a convertible is going to be transporting my surfboard. In New England, I generally use a 8’ board. Any thoughts on how to transport this on the highway?

I’ve seen soft-type racks, but I’m worried that could damage the roof from the straps or from the aero-pressure. Other option would be to only go on sunny days, and try to have it in the passenger seat (probably not great for the interior, but the board would be wrapped as to not get wax/salt water on everything).
