Nothing to do with censorship, you can disagree with whoever you like, just do it in the appropriate part of the forum.

I'm limited in my "social distancing by F-Type" (or motorcycle) by a shelter in place order until 4/7 or so. I'm also still working full time, although remotely until further notice. I'm due for a grocery run today or tomorrow. I'll likely take a slightly longer route than strictly necessary. Just to make sure the car gets up to temperature. It's better for the car, right?

If it warms up I'll social distance under the car and get my lower pulley installed. With no lift it'll be a treat, I'm sure.

Took mine out yesterday and ran it up to around 110 and would have loved to beat the speeds posted above, but discretion ruled since I don't have a detector and the HP is known to look for lawbreakers like me and the particular piece of highway I chose. Not unusual for me to drive it since it's a daily and it never hibernates in this climate, but just reading this thread inspired me to take an additional and unnecessary spin.
Today the temp touched 80 with nary a cloud to block the sun so I switched to the Harley and cruised for a couple hours. Even though the air temp was warm, when I was on the ocean boulevard segments there was still a chill in the air. It never ceases to amaze me how much cooler the air is within a couple hundred yards of the ocean until the water warms.
Both rides were a nice break from being in the "cabin" and listening to the virus doomsday stories and I sure don't need to stare at the balance in my brokerage and retirement accounts any more than necessary.

You are lucky on two counts, f type and motorcycle, I rode for 44 years until 2014. I gave my 87 full dresser to my son in NH. I Bought it in 93 with 6,000 miles gave it up with over 55,000 miles. I disagree with unnecessary spin, it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY 😆. This weekend looks great and I’m looking forward to driving, my16 s coupe.

We never could pump our own gas here in Jersey. It's great when it's freezing outside and you don't have to get out of your car. I wouldn't mind the option to choose to use an attendant or pump my own... especially if they can discount it if you opt out of using someone to do it for ya.

I used to put on about 18K miles per year on motorcycles. For over 10 years, that was primary transportation. Maybe that's why I can now deal with the F-Type as my everyday transportation. I have over 55K miles just on MV Agustas I own, maybe another 10 on rentals. Ducatis, even more. I put 105K on the first motorcycle I bought new. I'm probably 400K miles or so total by now, but the rate has dropped to near zero in the last few years.

I've been hearing a lot of supposition, wild speculation, and, frankly, some freaking out, but metaphorical wind in the face (I always wear a full-face helmet) is a form of meditation. Listening to the F-Type singing a happy song is too.

No disbelief. Just questioning the governments’ solutions. Back on topic: Fortunately refinery operations are extremely automated which means they will probably remain in full operation for the duration (as demand warrants), allowing us to continue doing what we enjoy most: driving the F-Type. With most of my other activities now cancelled, I’m laying out a number of day trips into the Alleghenys.

There is a massive oil supply glut driving oil prices under $20 per barrel soon, or 36 cents/gallon. Most experts are predicting another halving from demand destruction with min driving allowed and the majority of the 40 million annual airline flights grounded indefinitely.

So do your part to revive our terminally ill dormant economy, and burn as much fuel as possible. We need to ban 4 bangers and EVs before its too late.

EDIT: My wife is a flight attendent and said a major regional carrier notified all employees this is their last day. Big 3 airlines have 2 to 6 passengers per flight and most of those are employees flying free on benefits as there is no longer risk to flying on stand-by. How long is that going to last?

We are here in Europe in the middle of all this, and I fear America has not yet waken up, with the actual management in place.
And a president who spread fake news 2x quicker as the free press.

May I respectfully request that you keep your BS in Europe while the leader of the free world deals with this crisis?

I think I’ll go into my garage and align my bonnet with the 4 adjustment screws. I’ve done it already but I can fine tune the gaps a bit better. The alignment posts are very helpful👍👍

Why because of one person, whoever doesn't want to contribute doesn't have to respond to this thread. It started so that we all could relay some good times with our f type.
