Default Decided to Plastidip Winter Setup

I'm not really into the all black out murdered setup, but I actually like how they came out--even like the flat black finish--debated going gloss. Dare I admit I like them even better than my 20" Rotor Wheels--God I have a love-hate relationship with these Rotors (anyone have some "take off" machined gyros f/s????). I had a few near empty cans of black plastidip and decided to see how one would look. These are OEM 19" Propellers w/Conti DWS06 on as my "winter" setup. Not really going to see snow/ice, more like cold and wet for my winter needs.

So what do you guys think--Plastidip the rest or keep silver?

Personally I think they would look better with a top coat of gloss, but I just generally like shiny wheels

I was thinking maybe not glossifer, but a few sprays every so often of a safe tire shine product like AA Extreme shine to give a slight satin look.

All that area to work must be nice. I had my F-type on four jack stands in any area probably smaller than most wives' shoe closets.

I like the permanent brake dust look. Never have to clean the wheels ever again.

No question about it - plasti dip.

It's only to give me an idea if I want to spend the dough and eventually get them powdercoated. Probably a nice anthracite color however. I was too cheap to spring for the anthracite plastidip Haha

Haha! I hear ya, but I was actually torn about keeping them silver. It's a nice contrast to the black. And like Unhingd mentioned, if I don't clean them the brake dust would leave a nice patina.

And seriously, if anyone knows of any "take off" machined gyrodyne wheels for sale, preferably from a fellow forum member, I'm interested!

That's the best reason to try Plastidip on something; very inexpensive to do before making any more significant purchase commitments. Personally. I think you did a great job on the wheels.
