Default Deployable rear spoiler not working?

I took delivery of my F Type R yesterday. I must say the car is awesome. Perhaps I am doing something wrong but when I push the spoiler button nothing happens. The button stays lit as long as I hold it but no spoiler action.

I read the manual - still won't deploy. Not an issue but I may want to use the feature to clean it.

Default Read manual again

Read the manual again. Turn key on to accessory (push button once), do not start car.

Push the spoiler button and voila'.

Or drive above 75mph, obviously this method is not a lot of use for cleaning purposes
