My local JLR dealer quoted me about $4.5k to pre-emptively replace my Y-pipe, water pump, etc. That seems pretty steep. Does anybody here have experience with any highly recommended independent shops in the Fort Worth / Dallas area?

 

I had British Auto Specialists in Haltom City reset a couple of modules in my XKR. I would give them a call: Brit Auto

 

JLR dealers charge very high labour rates so getting them to do anything an independent could do is asking to pay over the odds. Those fancy premises and the "free" coffee don't pay for themselves.
