The traction control does appear to be quite "relaxed" when compared to the BMW I also own, and previous cars with front wheel drive.

But, I also own an MG with a third of the torque and even less grip.

I think most of you have hit the nail on the head as for his predicament, its the tyres!!
I've fitted mpss on my car and they def help but with a twitch of my right foot and 620bhp the backend is all over the place lol.

Absolutely. Last fall I found myself in an unintentional drift taking the same curvy side road I drive every day. The only difference is that it was chilly morning and I ignored 5C as irrelevant. It mattered, thankfully I managed to recover without incident.

They really mean it when they say these are summer tires.
