Does anyone use their Headlamp Washers
That's Funny !
Kidding aside, It's probably a good idea to use the washers occasionally to assure that they work. Otherwise the jets/outlets for the fluid could clog when you need them the most. Had that happen on several of my cars.
Nowadays, I verify the washers on all my cars operate properly, a couple times a year. The Jag's headlamp washers work every 4 or 6 windshield washings, you say? I'll watch for evidence. (Hopefully I won't need to detail the car first.)
I'm sure that Jaguar dealers sell a 'specification' fluid that prevents clogging, but I bet it costs $50 USD a gallon, too...)

I use my washers pretty regularly. This time of year the last mile heading home is straight into the sun, and I'd rather not do some impromptu rallying through the neighbor's yard, or Thelma and Louise into a gully.
As a side note, I have had someone behind me get mad at me for using my washers on the freeway. Some people use them as a middle-finger substitute for tailgaters, so perhaps he thought that, although he may have been upset at the water spots on his car. I just like to see where I'm going.

I've seen soap suds left behind on/around my headlights before... that's when I found out they even existed. I thought there was something seriously wrong with the car at first!
They come on right after you detail the car. The solvent in the washer fluid cuts through your sealant / wax rendering it useless.
they are supposed to come on when wash wipe and headlights are on. I hate the feature because ill have a clean car and a bug or 20 will hit the windshield so ill go to clean, only to be blasted with washer fluid now all over the hood. to disable buy a cheap hose pinch tool, vise grips etc and clamp the main single line behind the bumper before it splits off to the washers.
They will come on every forth or fifth time you use your window washers EXCEPT if you have your your headlamps turned off. The headlamp washers will also spray if your headlamps are in "auto" I REALLY dislike them in that they overspray the hood and leave water spots on the hood and the headlight glass.

Two coats of RainX every few months and I rarely even use the wipers. As for using the washers, I avoid except in the most unusual circumstances. I've owned the XF and T-Type with the headlamp washers and do not know to this day if they ever operated.
See my previous post on the importance of testing the washers periodically (to make sure they work, nothing is clogged).
Seeing as they already squirt fluid it shouldn't be to hard to modify them to squirt something nasty onto the car in front?
Or else raise the angle of the dangle a bit and squirt something nasty over the roof onto the car behind?
