Door handles pop back out?
This may be a stupid question but I just recently acquired a used 2017 F-type base and I'm still learning!
I'm trying to do the single lock mentioned in the manual but when I push the handles in they just pop back out.
Any ideas why or what I'm doing wrong?
When I use the key fob to lock it they do go in.

a quick test would be to take your known key and move it away from the vehicle, then hop in and try to start the car.
I push on the handle and it retracts completely then immediately pops back out without any beeping.

Hmm. Either your horn isn't working (to beep twice to tell you there is a key being detected in the car) or something isn't right with your locking mechanism. You are still under warranty, why not take it to the dealer? Why you are driving (above 5mph) do the handles retract? Try and reach out of your windows to feel if they have retracted. If not, i'd wager that something is preventing them from closing and the system is sensing it.
may I once again refer you to my post above - if you don't have the keyless entry system - it will do exactly this ............ as mine does, because I don't have the keyless entry system
Well I'll be damned. I just went to configure a based coupe, and you are correct. I did not know this car could be purchased without keyless entry. Do you have to insert a key to start the car?
I assume that cars without keyless entry don't have the little push button on the door handle. I didn't intentionally buy keyless entry (it was part of one of the packages I got), but I really like this implementation.
nope - push button as all the others - it just means that you have to use the key fob button to unlock the door - you can't push the recess on the door handle to close it nor the opposite way round
I think you're right. I didn't know it was a option.
