What's funny here is GM used wimpy 14" tires on skinny 7" wide wheels on the 450hp LS-6!

At least GM used 15's on the Z/28's to homologate them for SCCA Trans-Am racing...

No it is a subtle but important distinction. What I sad was

I think the 18s give the car a much more old school look
I accept that real old school is often smaller than 18, I think from memory that e- type is actually 15".

My opinion is that on an F-Type the smaller 18" looks more old school. I also said that there is nothing wrong with that look.

Buick,

It is hilarious. I had an original 1965 Ford 427ci (7 liter) side-oiler in my Cobra (pictured above), which weighed about 2K lbs. with close to 500 HP, sitting on 15" tires. Traction was impossible.
