Jake recently got a chance to flog the new F-Type R drop top in Malibu, and from what I can tell, he had one of hell of a good time. You can read his write up here and check out the video below.

 

Easy access to roads like that is one of the things I miss most about California.

BUT! I must say that the engine sound, on this video at the higher RPM's is raspy.


Now the V6s, no raspy sound. I have to say, in my most humble opinion, the 6 is better sound.

I absolutely love the sound of the 6. If I had my choice, I'd have the 6 with a stick.

 

I would never, ever get tired of the sound of that V8 but I do agree that the V6 sounds very good also. My preference is the lower, bassier V8 sound but I would fault no one for their preference being the 6. Fun video!

 

When did voice become a priority.
Did someone ever say I will take this woman over Raquel Welch because she has a good voice.

I have had a V8R for 5 years now, its charm and persona is an untiring beast and ruffian, not Pavarotti.
