Question Is Coventry listening?

Given the interest demonstrated here, I'm surprised that our pals in Coventry don't produce "marque'd" driving gloves along with all the other peripheral paraphernalia that's on the market. If I can get several varieties of leaper or growler baseball caps or umbrellas -- bumbershoots if you prefer -- why not gloves?

Gumball Rally. I remember watching it as a kid.

I guess today people can't text or post on social media wearing gloves. LOL I for one, refuse to text while driving.

I've search also for driving gloves with the Jaguar logo. No luck.

My steering wheel was not to my liking on a couple points, shiny, slippery and just letting my beautiful interior down. I replaced it with a new steering wheel that I had custom made, alcantara top and bottom, with perforated Napa leather on the sides, matching interior stripe at 12. Beautiful wheel that not only looks great but enhances the overall appearance of my interior. And yes I still use my crochet string driving gloves, bought in Austria. What do you think of the new steering wheel?

Cheers Frank
ps: I also have a pair of dents leather driving gloves given to me by a dear friend who drove a e type and who passed away. I fondly think about him whenever I wear them.

The wheel looks fantastic. Do you mind sharing who did the work and what it cost? I'm interested in acquiring one of these.

I am pleased to provide the information you requested, very nice and knowledgeable company. Why I decided on this company: 7-10 day turnaround, once they started on my steering wheel it was one week and then sent back to me. I supplied my own wheel. I picked out the material and sent them a leather swatch with the color I wanted at 12. My cost was $600. Very pleased with the outcome and love looking at how it complements my interior, same thickness as original and feels great. I think you will love how it looks, expensive and custom made.

Thanks for the info. It looks even better with the newer pics and the price is very reasonable. Now I just have to find a wheel somewhere since I don't want to take mine off til I have the replacement ready to put on - Have to be ready to roll when the mood hits!

As long as we’re talking steering wheels, folks were also happy with Guardian Designs, in Poland I believe.

I'm old enough to remember when Jaguar sold it's logo driving gloves. They used snaps because Velcro had not yet been introduced. LOL Some think the driving gloves only look appropriate in 1960's vintage, or earlier vehicles. LOL Today, many people are checking their media on their phones to be wearing gloves. Just a guess. LOL

Real men don't wear driving gloves unless they are in an actual race of some sort--nor do they wear cutesy little shoes with car logos on them or carry hand bags with logos or . There, I said it.

Thanks for the Link.

I am not a fan of driving gloves but have a pair for the F Type ONLY because the oil from my hands will turn the steering wheel shiny and that drives me nuts.

Don't blame you. My other daily driver is a 21 Toyota 4Runner. When I clean the interior I carefully spray interior cleaner around the steering wheel and use a medium stiff brush and scrub it. Then quickly wipe it off before it dries. Amazing the dirt you get off the wheel from your hands.
I ordered the Jag logo gloves....well....just because. No expense spared. LOL Besides, a gentleman should not be motoring about without proper gloves during cold weather !!! LOL !!!!

That's just a waste of the heated steering wheel.
