Default dynamic mode launch control

hi all,

I recently saw the v6s review video that was posted here a couple weeks ago. he used a 'dynamic mode launch control' in the video. I tried that in my '16 AWD S today and it didn't work. have any of you tried this?
thanks!

It doesn't work for my '16 R either. I spoke with my salesman and we tried on another '16 and it didn't work.

When you say it didn't work, what didn't happen? The torque converter stall speed didn't increase, or you couldn't get the tires to light up?

I don't believe launch control ever worked on the pre '16 Rs or V8Ss since they had more than enough power even at a low torque converter stall speed to exceed available traction and light up the tires. Would certainly have value though, on the AWD cars.

so in the video when he depressed the brake pedal and stepped on gas lightly the display showed 'dynamic launch control activated' and then he sped off without tire spin like a launch control car would do. but when I did it nothing showed up on display and the tires just started spinning until I released brake pedal. I'm pretty sure the guy in the video also had an AWD like me.
any thoughts?

My understanding was that only the RWD V6 had launch control. If the AWD has it, this is the first i'm hearing of it. And it doesn't say anything in the owners manual.

No launch control in any of the V8s for the poster above with the R.

Sounds like perhaps they removed it from US spec AWD cars? Or maybe all US spec cars. My 2014 V6S has it - not a big deal, but it does get off the line a tad quicker.

Only V6S RWD have it. Not on 15/16 R models or AWD models.

As does my 2015 V6S. I'm not so sure my neighbors appreciated my testing it out tonight - and I have used it before - and I did notice that one has to gently depress the accelerator and not push the revs too high or Launch Control appears to deactivate***. With that note of caution, fun stuff.

***I just went for a quick romp and played with Launch Control a number of times (in the interest of science) and I'm not so sure Launch Control is necessarily deactivated with revs increasing but the words Launch Control do disappear. As did I down the road a number of times...

What is this "torque converter" of which you speak?

YES! Yes! so my 2016 AWD S does in fact have dynamic launch control. I followed the advice and while pressing the brake pedal only lightly pressed the gas and it says 'dynamic launch control activated' and off we go!!!
my mistake was I was pressing the gas too much. this 'discovery' gives me the kick I was craving. let me know if any of you guys try it after reading this and what your thoughts are

Default without launch control what is the best mode for 0-60?

Without any built in launch control what is the best mode for 0-60 (normal, dynamic, or snowflake)? I want little or no tire spin an maximum speed.
