Loved my '64 E-Type Roadster but it was a non-synchro 1st gear tranny and when a sudden rain hit that required the top and windows up, you sweated like a pig. Yeah, you better have extra fuses (Lucas electrics), a can of oil (leaked like a sieve) and you spent hours each month cleaning and polishing the wire wheels with a toothbrush. It was still the best crumpet catcher ever designed. My '71 coupe was much more civilized and even had AC that worked most of the time. Agreeing with Jay, the coupe was a much sleeker automobile. At the end of the day though, the F-Type is a worthy design child of the E-type and is probably the last sports car I'll own as I'm in the last quarter of my game.
