Default Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor #2 location?

I’m getting a P2184 code again, so I’m going to pull the sensor and test that it’s working still.

Can someone point me to its location? It’s the ECT sensor #2.

Update: I checked the coolant expansion tank level, and noticed that it was below the min level line. I topped it off with orange 50-50, cleared the code, and then drove it for about 30 mins. The CEL didn’t illuminate again. The DTC app I use still has the P2183 code as a permanent code, and the note says the car’s ECU will clear it if it determines that the root cause has been fixed.

I’ll report back here if/when the permanent code clears.

You're probably leaking from the rear coolant crossover that connects the intakes to the heater hoses. It may even be getting on the coolant sensor there. Get it repaired before you overheat your engine.

edit: oops, I misread your post. ECT 2 being in front. There are some common leaks in the front crossover but that doesn't look too obvious. good luck with root cause

Default Solved

The wiring to ECT 2 sensor was rubbing against power steering pulley. Indy repaired the wire and re routed wires, tested system and everything tested ok.

Back on the road now!
