Default Engine light comes on and goes off

I have a 2016 ftype. Engine light comes in sometimes and then goes off after a couple days. it’s an on and off type of deal.

Is it a faulty sensor? can someone give me some advice on why this is happening?

I have a 2016R and had that issue. Engine light would come on and stay solid. Then it would be off a couple days later. I just stopped by OReilleys and had them scan it so I knew the code and issue. Mine was an O2 sensor going bad. Still covered under mfg warranty.

My ‘17 R does it to this day. It’s always been the O2 sensor, which means nothing to me unless I’m getting an inspection. I think the raw fuel that’s dumped into the exhaust for the cracks and pops gunks them up. They extended the warranty for just this issue (15yrs?) but I find if I drive it hard it goes away lol
