F type dashboard and steering wheel change
hi guys I am repairing a 5.0 litre and both air bags have deployed passenger side and steering wheel has anyone got any tips that I might need before start the job this week , cheers

Hi,
I did exactly the same ...... Bought an unrecorded salvage F Type and the front 2 airbags had gone off ...
You will need a new dashboard top and drivers airbag and passenger airbag ..... The seatbelts will also need checking / replacing .....
A company called the airbag team provided the parts for me and had a package deal at around £795 from memory ..... I got one of there recommended garages to fit them and saw the work in progress ....
Unless you are 100% ok to remove the dash (which means pretty much removing the full interior of the car), I wouldn't attempt it yourself ...... an absolute nightmare job ..... It took the Jag specialist 2 days to get it all out and refit ......
You will also need the airbag ECU clearing of crash data (airbag team will do this if they can if you send them it) or you will need to buy a new airbag ECU and get it programmed to the car via a Jag specialist or dealer .... Mine was a 2017 model so I had to buy a new ECU ... Depending on the age of yours, you might get it cleared for £30-£40 or so.
