Had a client come in with his Evora. Which came with a nice Alpine double DIN HU from the factory.
His mechanic had installed a JOY-something because it would run the Torque app and he wanted to see his OBD info. The POS HU was dead and could we fix it.
We didn't even bother to take it out of the dash. Told him the only way we'd open up the dash was if he bought a proper double DIN. Which won't display Torque.
So now we're the bad guy because we won't install a POS HU that integrates his car data.
What I wouldn't give to have a simple double DIN in the Jag.
